DreamSpark es una de las iniciativas de Microsoft que mas me han gustado en los últimos meses y que servirán de apoyo para muchos de nosotros. Este nuevo concepto ofrece a todos los estudiantes la posibilidad de adquirir software legal y sus respectivas licencias de una manera gratuita y sencilla. A pesar de llevar algo de tiempo, DreamSpark aún es desconocido por la mayor parte del sector estudiantil y es por ello que quiero dar una breve reseña, comenzando con la lista de aquellos programas que podremos usar:

Debo recomendarles el revisar muy bien el texto escrito en cada uno de los puntos de descarga del sitio pues contiene información importante sobre el uso y licencia del programa a descargar, por ejemplo, yo descargué XNA Game Studio 3.1, con DreamSpark me han dado una lic

encia por un año (ahorré 100 dólares) pero no tengo acceso al contenido premium ni al Creators Club, aunque no me pierdo de mucho.

Adentrándonos un poco más, DreamSpark tiene una serie de pasos a seguir para poder estar en el programa, cosa que deberán hacer las instituciones de educación superior por su cuenta y es realmente sencillo: deberán dirigirse al sitio https://www.dreamspark.com y desde ahí seguirán las instrucciones para añadir a su escuela (secundaria, bachillerato y universidad). Una vez realizado el registro, se les otorgarán algunas llaves de acceso para los estudiantes que podrán distribuir de la mejor manera que encuentren, como consejo, sugiero hacer uso del DreamSpark Tool, un programa realizado para hacer esta tarea mucho mas fácil. Una vez con la llave de acceso, cada estudiante podrá decidir que software querrá descargar y recibirá la licencia personalizada, estando sujeto a las normas de DreamSpark.

En resumen: DreamSpark ofrece a las escuelas la oportunidad de regalar a sus estudiantes software legal y hacer que estos comiencen a trabajar en sus ideas, no preocupándose por el pago de licencias o el comprar un programa "pírata".
